Many times when couples get married they stop spending time with their single friends. I would like Mike and I to stay connected to our friends. It was fun hanging out with our friends last night. We made garlic bread from scratch. I wish I took a picture (the image on the right is from eatingpleasure.blogspot.com); but this is how: I cut up a loaf of frech bread into thin slices. Then cleaned 6 cloves of garlic and sent them through the
garlic press! Used about 2 or 3 tablespoons of mayo and mixed it up. Then I took a spoon and placed the garlic-mayo spread on top of the bread slices. The oven was preheated to 325 and we put the bread peices on a rack for 5 minutes into the oven. Then we took out the rack and put shreded cheese on top and then put the bread back into the oven for 1 moreminute so that the cheese melts just a littlebit. In the end it was crispy on the outside and soft bread inside with fresh garlic. Then Mike made chilli (out of the can) and the we all went up stairs to watch Mr.Bean videos and drank tea (and some of us - coffee). Well it was fun with you my friends. I hope we can do this again and even after Mike and I are married off.

ReplyDeleteYou mean fresh or french bread?
"We made garlic bread from scratch."
No ya didn't. From scratch means you would have baked your own bread.
"Then Mike made chilli (out of the can)"
He opened a can! So how did he "make" chilli?
Sorry - I'm having one of those days... ⋛⋋ ⋌⋚
